VARU by Atmosphere is committed to sustainable operations through an efficient waste management system built around the ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ approach.
Our eco efforts involve efficient purchasing and use of supplies, implementing a structured waste collection and segregation process, reducing plastic waste by offering drinking water from our water bottling plant. This that allows up to 75% the waste to be recycled and we ensure that the remaining waste responsibly disposed, aligning with regulations and environmental guidelines. We are committed towards creating a brighter and cleaner future by using sustainable energy, optimising our water and electricity usage and reducing our carbon emissions.
In line with its environment focused initiatives, VARU by Atmosphere is doing its bit to give back to the environment by planting 750 trees every month. Lime & Chili restaurant at VARU is participating in Carbon Free Dining, a ground-breaking environmental certification programme managed by The United Nations Environment partner, Green Earth Appeal. At Lime & Chili, VARU’s flagship Carbon Free Dining certified restaurant, all diners have the opportunity to plant a life-changing fruit tree in one of our worlds most impoverished communities. This offers food, shelter, education and the start to an economy for some of the poorest members of our population. Furthermore, these fruit trees also counterbalance the carbon produced from Lime & Chili’s divine meals.
